Steward's Report
Ripplebrook Glen was slow to begin.
Aston Jansz and Havelock Keith collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking both greyhounds, Aston Jansz crossed to the outside and Havelock Keith lost ground as a result. Agent Ben tired over the concluding stages. Agent Ben and Ripplebrook Glen collided approaching the winning post.
Havelock Keith underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. Vinnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a superficial abrasion to the left calf. No stand down period was imposed.
Agent Ben underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D. Connor regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages of the event. Mr Connor stated that this is Agent Ben's first start after a month off racing and first attempt at Healesville. Mr. Connor further stated that he believes the greyhound was not strong enough over the 350m at this time and he intends to return to Cranbourne 311m in the near future.
