Another Avatar and Marley's Rage collided soon after the start. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided from soon after the start to approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds, causing the muzzle of Front Bar to become dislodged. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided approaching the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Crackerjack Baz and Another Avatar collided approaching the 100m mark checking Another Avatar and Marley's Rage. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided several times from approaching the 100m mark to the 50m mark.
Without Fear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right thigh. A 3 day stand-down period was imposed.
