Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

How's It Alice and Black Booker collided soon after the start checking Black Booker. Rob's Outlander and Maxi Mal collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Exit Sign turned in his head in approaching the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark. Maxi Mal checked off How's It Alice approaching the winning post checking Devika Bale.

Exit Sign underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr N. Hunt declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Hunt, the trainer of Exit Sign regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 250m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Exit Sign was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hunt pleaded guilty to the charge, Exit Sign is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Taipan Jill with John Mangion and noted his comments.

Uncatchable Girl and Witchie's Gas collided soon after the start checking Uncatchable Girl.

Taipan Jill underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rocket Ronnie.

Cool Story Bro and Tiger Blurton were slow to begin.

Tiger Blurton galloped on Rocket Ronnie soon after the start checking Tiger Blurton.

Another Avatar and Marley's Rage collided soon after the start. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided from soon after the start to approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds, causing the muzzle of Front Bar to become dislodged. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided approaching the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Crackerjack Baz and Another Avatar collided approaching the 100m mark checking Another Avatar and Marley's Rage. Front Bar and Lenny's Jagger collided several times from approaching the 100m mark to the 50m mark.

Without Fear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right thigh. A 3 day stand-down period was imposed.

Ryder Patrol and Leprechaun Tink collided soon after the start checking Ryder Patrol and Aston Logan. Leprechaun Tink checked off Flair approaching the 300m mark. Perfect Flossy, Aston Logan and Ryder Patrol collided approaching the 300m mark checking Ryder Patrol severely checking Aston Logan. Stagger Bott and Yellow And Black collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking Stagger Bott. Aston Logan crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.

Tough Grit – Late scratching at 7:52am when Brent Merton reported the greyhound to have an injured back muscle (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tim Tam Sam and Tibby Shore collided approaching the 300m mark. Yeran and Hardaway George collided approaching the 300m mark. Run Maggie Run and Tim Tam Sam collided at the 200m mark checking Run Maggie Run.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Jitterbug Witch and Fried White Bait with Abraham Formosa and Wade Green (respectively) and noted their comments.

Awesome Asset underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race. 

My Victoria and Awesome Asset collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Awesome Asset faltered approaching the 300m mark and tailed off.

Jitterbug Witch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain and an injury to the right thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Awesome Assett underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected insect bite to the right foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the on course Veterinary Surgeon regarding the condition of Awesome Asset. It was the opinion of the Veterinary Surgeon that the condition directly reflected the greyhounds performance in this event. No further action was taken.

Sir Julian and Zambora Andy collided soon after the start checking Sir Julian. Aston Frigate crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Sir Julian, Zambora Andy, Yondu, Kiss Me Razely, Close Encounter and Aston Frigate. Yondu and Close Encounter collided approaching the 250m mark checking Close Encounter. Steel Magnolia checked off I'm Another Whiz at the 200m mark. Sir Julian and Kiss Me Razley collided approaching the 50m mark checking Sir Julian.

Bingo Boon and Thirty Red were slow to begin.
