Sister Annie, Cash No Credit, Mahogany Flame and Lil Miss Shooter were slow to begin. Waikerie Bandit checked off Miss Avonlea approaching the first turn. Cash No Credit and Waikerie Bandit collided approaching the first turn. Mahogany Flame checked off Bit Of Hay approaching the first turn. Mahogany Flame checked off Waikerie Bandit on the first turn. Bit Of Hay checked off She's Invincible on the first turn causing She's Invincible to fall, severely checking Bit Of Hay which lost ground as a result. 

Bit Of Hay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration over the left stopper. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Bear was slow to begin. Riverdale Bear checked off Flying Jamaica soon after the start. Tashendo checked off Kraken Roger approaching the first turn. Kraken Roger visibly eased on the home turn severely checking Falconetti and Riverdale Bear; both greyhounds were forced wide as a result. Tashendo checked off Falconetti on the home turn. Tashendo marred Falconetti in the home straight. 

Tashendo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Boehmke, the trainer of Tashendo regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tashendo was charged with marring. Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Tahendo is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kraken Roger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hock and sand toe on the left hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Gayle Lemin regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Kraken Roger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Lemin pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Roger must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Act On Impulse checked off Plain Name soon after the start. Act On Impulse checked off Pansy Parkinson on the first turn. Mepunga Fairy checked off Another Episode on the second turn. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Chris Stanton regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Unknown Warrior was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Stanton pleaded guilty to the charge, Unknown Warrior must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lea Arandt went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Cloudy Diamond was slow to begin. Bad Bailey, Daisy Hill Lad and Helena Ravenclaw collided on the first turn checking Bad Bailey and Helena Ravenclaw. Daisy Hill Lad checked off Nana Rose on the first turn. Bad Bailey and Helena Ravenclaw collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Darra Daenne raced wide in the home straight.

Nessie Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius/ ulna fracture, bruising over the face and a minor concussion. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

Free Advice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on the left fore and right hind paws. A 21 day stand down period was imposed,
