A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Ali.
Eagles Nest Egg and Miss Ali collided soon after the start. Miss Ali, Eagles Nest Egg and Son Of Indy collided approaching the first turn. Fernando Fury and Son Of Indy collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Fernando Fury which lost ground and tailed off as a result. Miss Ali checked off Pyrocumulus on the home turn causing Miss Ali to race wide.
Fernando Fury was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
