Romany Girl and Mega McKayla were quick to begin.
Architecture, Onya Jakit and Terrah Round collided several times soon after the start checking Onya Jakit which fell as a result. Kiwi Al and Mega McKayla collided on the first turn severely checking Mega McKayla. Mega McKayla and Terrah Round collided on the home turn.
Onya Jakit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
