Steward's Report
Lektra Scooter was quick to begin. Keeping Faith and Superior Jacob were slow to begin. Rizzo was checked off Lektra Scooter approaching the first turn. Pack Of Jokers and Rizzo collided on the first turn checking Pack Of Jokers, Rizzo and Elope To Paris. Keeping Faith galloped on Zipping Django approaching the home turn. Elope To Paris and Superior Jacob colided in the home straight. Lektra Scooter and Harper's Girl collided in the home straight. Superior Jacob turned its head inwards approaching the winning post.
Superior Jacob underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound a left hind toe and seroma on both elbows. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. D. Condon regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Superior Jacob was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Condon pleaded guilty to the charge, Superior Jacob must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
