Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hindi's Chance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Witchie's Gas and Hurricane Star collided soon after the start severely checking Hurricane Star.  Witchie's Gas and Ishmy Dozer collided approaching the first turn checking Ishmy Dozer.  Brindi Yalla and His Stop It collided on the first turn severely checking Brindi Yaala.  Brindi Yaala, Witchie's Gas and Hurricane Star collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Aeroplane Greg cramped approaching the winning. 

Aeroplane Greg underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Aeroplane Greg must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ishmy Dozer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right achillies injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Somerton Osprey was quick to begin.

Walk On Betty stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result.  Hurricane Sue checked off Bomber's Smokey on the first turn checking Hook Along Pippa and Hurricane Sue.  Naga Viper raced wide approaching the home turn.  Hook Along Pippa and Naga Viper collided several times in the home straight.

Nan Moffitt was quick to begin.  Superior Jacob was slow to begin.

Nan Moffitt and Bella Boom collided on the first turn checking Superior Jacob, severely checking Nan Moffitt, Wow Anna and Bella Boom, Bella Boom fell as a result. Shady Talks checked off Calabrese Gino approaching home turn.  

Bella Boom underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left Radius/Ulna fracture. Bella Boom was humanely euthanased.

Go The Doves - Late scratching at 11.16am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a laceration to the left stifle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Financial Tarra – New declared weight of 27.9kg, last raced at 26.4kg.

Thursday Thunder was quick to begin.  Where's Ali faltered and lost ground approaching the home turn.  Financial Tarra galloped on My Girl Sal approaching the home turn checking My Girl Sal.  

Where's Ali underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Arend Gringhuis, the trainer of the greyhound Where's Ali.  Acting under GAR 75(1) Stewards ordered Mr Gringhuis to report as soon as practicable anything that may affected the running of Where's Ali in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Hird From Buck, What Price Bucks and Black Mintie were quick to begin.

Sally's Pride checked off Guilty As approaching the first turn.  Black Mintie and Guilty As collided on the first turn.  Hird From Bucks, Zaambora Lulu, Black Mintie and Guilty As collided on the home turn checking Zambora Lulu and Why Not Rose.  Hird From Bucks, Black Mintie and Guilty As collided in the home straight. 

Shaded Disguise underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Zambora Ali underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr L. Rowe the trainer of Zambora Lulu regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn, and after taking into consideration the reported injury Stewards took no further action.

Acting on a confirmed phone call, Lucky Millie was a late scratching at 9.54am due to trainer illness.  No stand down period was imposed.

Hook Along Mint was quick to begin. More Donuts and Sweet Hostility collided soon after the start More Donuts. Sweet Hostility and Hook Along Mint collided on the first turn.  Gene Man checked off Sweet Hostility on the home turn.  

More Donuts underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain.  A 28 stand down period was imposed.

Gypsy Hook was quick to begin.

Verne Bale, What's Up Skip and Mac's Mayhem collided on the first turn.  Mad Eye Madam, Verne Bale and Mac's Mayhem collided approaching the home turn.

No Sugar and Bomber's Queen were quick to begin.  Hard At It was slow to begin.
