Steward's Report
Mystery Rules and Into The River were quick to begin. General Rose was slow to begin. Minter Fire and Bindi Girl collided on the first turn. General Rose, Dr. Cassia and Drakari collided on the first turn. Minter Fire and Into The River collided several times approaching the home turn. Minter Fire visibly eased and turned its head to the outside on the home turn severely checking Drakari.
Minter Fire underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Reinke the trainer of Minter Fire regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Minter Fire was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Reinke pleaded guilty to the charge, Minter Fire is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
