Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mr. G. McMillan was issued a warning after the greyhound Lynee was negligently placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process (GAR 86(o)).

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Frigate.

Aston Frigate was quick to begin.  Ripplebrook Glen was slow to begin. Tip Toe Spolly and Don't Get Lippy collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lynee was checked off Aston Frigate approaching the first turn. Lynee, Mess and Ripplebrook Glen collided approaching the first turn checking Ripplebrook Glen, Tip Toe Spolly and Don't Get Lippy and severely checking Mess,  Lynee fell as a result. Tip Toe Spolly and Don't Get Lippy collided approaching the home turn.

Lynee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right radius/ulna.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Mystery Rules and Into The River were quick to begin.  General Rose was slow to begin.  Minter Fire and Bindi Girl collided on the first turn.  General Rose, Dr. Cassia and Drakari collided on the first turn.  Minter Fire and Into The River collided several times approaching the home turn.  Minter Fire visibly eased and turned its head to the outside on the home turn severely checking Drakari.

Minter Fire underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Reinke the trainer of Minter Fire regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Minter Fire was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Reinke pleaded guilty to the charge, Minter Fire is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Flying Hulk was quick to begin.  Aston Rosa and Flying Hulk collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Rosa.  Who's Spolly was checked off Aston Rosa on the first turn.  Who's Spolly was checked off Got Girl approaching the home turn.

Tiger Titan was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Portelli Punk and Our Katie Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Portelli Punk.  Catch Me Spolly and Marsha collided on the first turn checking Catch Me Spolly.  Tiger Titan raced wide entering the home straight.  Our Katie Rose was checked off Aston Vuitton in the home straight.

Bejarano was slow to begin.  Speedy Bella, Splinter, Spolly's Buddy and Buddy Blinx collided on the first turn checking Splinter and Spolly's Buddy.  Speedy Bella and Thistle Rock collided in the back straight.  Buddy Blinx and Speedy Bella collided in the back straight checking Speedy Bella. Bejarano and Thistle Rock collided on the second turn.  Samp De Keats and Bejarano collided on the home turn.  Buddy Blinx was checked off Line Trike entering the home straight.

Line Trike underwent a post race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a bite wound to the left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Grice the trainer of Buddy Blinx following an incident in the catching pen and directed that Buddy Blinx must wear an anti aggression muzzle in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Andrews regarding an incident in the catching pen and charged him with engaging in conduct detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing pursuant to GAR 86(q).  Mr. Andrews was fined $100.

Why Not Lilah, Bubbles, Parzival, Perfect Rocky, Locked In, Burst The Seam and Curnow Keats collided on the first turn checking Why Not Lilah, Parzival, Perfect Rocky and Locked In. Curnow Keats was checked off Bubbles on the second turn checking Locked In.  Locked In and Curnow Keats collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Curnow Keats underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right front foot.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Duke Of Airly.

Eye Catcher was quick to begin.  Madalia Champ and Henessey Venom collided approaching the first turn severely checking Madalia Champ which stumbled and lost considerable ground.  Airly Cleaner and Henessey Venom collided approaching the first turn causing Airly Cleaner to fall.

Airly Cleaner underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a bruised axilla and a laceration on the left hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Madalia Champ underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

True Alpha was slow to begin.  Whodat Dare and Why Not Paps collided soon after the start.  Why Not Paps, Bricabrac and Rollo Ragnar collided on the first turn checking Bricabrac and True Alpha. Tin Shed Fred crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Whodat Dare and Rollo Ragnar.  Why Not Paps was checked off Shantelle Rose in the back straight checking Shantelle Rose.  Bricabrac, Whodat Dare and Rollo Ragnar collided approaching the second turn checking Whodat Dare and Rollo Ragnar.

Sunshine Spolly was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Why Not Rose and La Quinta Rocks collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Especial Envy and Timmy collided on the first turn checking Timmy. Why Not Rose and La Quinta Rocks collided on the first turn. 

Muza's Angel was quick to begin.  Velocity Anifrid and Why Not Luv were slow to begin.  Especial Elise was checked off Muza's Angel approaching the first turn checking So Much Mojo.
