Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Track Curator Mr. M. Pell advised that the track was lightly harrowed on 19th July 2020.

Rocket Ronni, Hillbilly Storm and Crackerjack Jaws collided soon after the start. We Will Prevail and Tinker Caylee collided soon after the start. Tinker Caylee turned outwards and visibly eased approaching the first turn severely checking We Will Prevail, Crackerjack Jaws and Light Show and causing Light Show to Fall. Ronnie Rocket and Galway Lights collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Hillbilly Storm and Midnight Pompeii collided entering the home straight. Hillbilly Storm and Tinker Caylee collided several times in the home straight.

Light Show underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a mild neck muscle injury and a spike wound to the right fore paw lateral digit. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tinker Caylee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. R. Fisher, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tinker Caylee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge, Tinker Caylee must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Retro Reece, Aston Anita and Kingy Lights collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Retro Reece and Apple Valley collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Dusty Victorem and Rumpelstiltskin were slow to begin.

Lilly Galore and Bye All Means collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Colourful Past and Mepunga Fairy collided approaching the second turn. Gaerwen Bale and Bye All Means collided on the home turn. Lex's Delight and Colourful Past collided in the home straight.

Fab Nine and Repossession collided soon after the start. Last Shot and Stella Diamond collided soon after the start. Last Shot checked off Stella Diamond on the home turn checking Olin Bale. Last Shot and Fab Nine collided entering the home straight.

Butch Regis, Nitro Gee and Micky Rads collided soon after the start. Tekidanto and Micky Rads collided on the first turn. Tekidanto and Ruby's Boy collided on the home turn. Butch Regis raced wide in the home straight. Micky Rads and Ruby's Boy collided approaching the winning post.

Cherokee Fawn checked off Poppo's Grinning on the first turn. Dewana Chic checked off Uniquely Mine approaching the second turn. Uniquely Mine and Red The Run collided on the second turn checking Red The Run. Dewana Chic, Red The Run and National Level collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Dewana Chic and Red The Run collided entering the home straight.

Not Arandt, Emergency and Arancini collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Windburn and Rose Fawn collided on the first turn. Not Arandt checked off Alita on the first turn. Rose Fawn and Alita collided entering the home straight.

Not Arandt underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the back. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Secret Thoughts – Late scratching at 9:16am by order of Stewards (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
