Blockette and Black Mintie collided approaching the first turn checking Blockette. Buddy Blinx and Bella Edition collided approaching the first turn checking Bella Edition. Midnight Storm lost considerable ground on the first turn. Bella Edition and Blockette collided approaching the home turn. Thunderbolt Jack galloped on Midnight Storm approaching the home turn checking Midnight Storm.
Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
