Financial Tarra- Late scratching at 11.59am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Lindsay Fulford was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Nan Moffitt.
Mister Wingard and Ferny Flat Miss were quick to begin.
Inter Vince, Ferny Flat Miss and Gunmandu collided soon after the start. Gunmandu and Ferny Flat Miss collided approaching the first turn. Mister Wingard and Nan Moffitt collided on the first turn checking Nan Moffitt. Inter Vince and Gunner's Hawk collided on the first turn. Ferny Flat Miss and Lucky Yap collided on the first turn. Lucky Yap visibly eased on the first turn. Ferny Flat Miss and Lucky Yap collided approaching the home turn. Inter Vince and Gunner's Hawk collided approaching winning post.
Lucky Yap underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Lewis Green, the trainer of Lucky Yap regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Lucky Yap was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Lucky Yap is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
