A pre-race sample was taken from Marshall Dillon.

Raglan Viper was slow to begin.

Dinkydi Asset and Marshall Dillon collided soon after the start. Sonic Lauryn galloped on Dinkydi Asset on the first turn causing Akina Ivy to race wide. Raglan Viper and Sonic Sensation collided entering the back straight severely checking Sonic Sensation. Marshall Dillon and Akina Ivy collided approaching the third turn. Marshall Dillon and Sonic Sensation collided in the home straight.

Sonic Lauryn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind tarsal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
