Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Dinkydi Asset and Marshall Dillon collided soon after the start.  Sonic Lauryn galloped on Dinkydi Asset on the first turn causing Akina Ivy to race wide.  Raglan Viper and Sonic Sensation collided entering the back straight severely checking Sonic Sensation.  Marshall Dillon and Akina Ivy collided approaching the third turn.  Marshall Dillon and Sonic Sensation collided in the home straight.

Sonic Lauryn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind tarsal sprain.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Desiree Dancer, Walk On Bye and Ryben Jack were slow to begin.

Run Shifty Run was quick to begin.

I'm The Greatest stumbled soon after the start and was slow to begin.  Akina Spot checked off Free Kick Hawks approaching the first turn.  Especial Envy and Mich Wiggle collided on the first turn checking Mich Wiggle.  Especial Envy and Free Kick Hawks collided several times on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  

Meat Murphy - Late scratching at 5.37pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to abrasions to the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The remainder of the meeting was delayed due to heavy fog. This event was rescheduled to race at 10.12pm. As a result of the fog conditions the lure was driver from the centre of the track for this event.

Remember Jimmy and Walk Me Home were slow to begin.

Star Gem, Kanga Lights and Why Not Hutch collided approaching the first turn checking Kanga Lights.  Remember Jimmy galloped on Lovely Sienna on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Star Gem and Cute Indeed collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. 

Cute Indeed underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a left hind toe dislocation and a spike wound to the left hind foot.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

This event was rescheduled to race at 10.32pm due to heavy fog. As a result of the fog conditions the lure was driver from the centre of the track for this event.

Fast Food Junkie and Hartland Digger collided approaching the first turn checking Fast Food Junkie.  Majestic Mojo checked off Rusty Model on the first turn.  Sacred Path contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Majestic Mojo and Hartland Digger collided on the first turn checking Majestic Mojo and severely checking Hartland Digger.  Majestic Mojo checked off Fast Food Junkie approaching the home turn.

Sacred Path underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rusty Model underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury and bruising to the right calf and an abrasion to the right hind webbing.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Shakalaka - winner of the event.

This event was rescheduled to race at 10.52pm due to heavy fog.

A pre-race sample was taken from Maximum Jodie.
