Steward's Report
Due to multiple abandonments today Tabcorp advised that this race was rescheduled to start at 2.04pm.
Pretty Lily – Late scratching at 4.33pm on 25 July 2020 when Mr Jeff Galea reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Run Shifty Run was sampled upon arrival at the course.
Run Shifty Run, She's A Charm and Jayla Bale collided soon after the start checking Run Shifty Run. Belmont Rose and Jayla Bale collided several times from the 200m mark to the 100m mark. Belmont Rose checked off Jayla Bale approaching the winning post.
Mr Jeff Galea was found guilty of a charge pursuant to GAR 86(0) in that he did fail to check the condition of Pretty Lily prior to the closure of the scratching deadline on 25 July 2020, resulting in the greyhound being withdrawn at 4.33pm. Mr Galea was fined $100.
