Headwall and Gotta Place were slow to begin. Tiggerlong Rebel, Garage Sale and Kranskey collided approaching the first turn checking Tiggerlong Rebel and Kranskey. Invictus Spirit and Dyna Aakil collided on the first turn. Headwall and Gotta Place collided on the first turn. Tiggerlong Rebel and Garage Sale collided on the first turn severely checking Kranskey and causing Garage Sale to fall. Headwall, Invictus Spirit, Dyna Aakil and What Price collided approaching the home turn checking What Price and Invictus Spirit.
Garage Sale underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
