Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Huntly Star and Dundee Dancer were quick to begin. Warren Wahoo and Baccala were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Baccala. Coco Nova checked off Huntly Star approaching the first turn. Coco Nova and Dundee Dancer collided on the first turn. Huntly Star and Nine Wine Wine collided on the first turn checking Huntly Star. Coco Nova, Nine Wine Wine and Huntly Star collided approaching the home turn checking Huntly Star and Nine Wine Wine.

Baccala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn nail on the left hind toe and right thigh injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

John John Dory and Nevada Phil were slow to begin.

Aston Shelly and Joffa's Princess collided soon after the start checking Joffa's Princess. Nevada Phil crossed in on the first turn checking Aston Shelly, Groundbreaking, Rayner and American Star. Aston Shelly and John John Dory collided from the first turn to approaching the home turn checking Aston Shelly, John John Dory and Rayner. Joffa's Princess shifted out on the home turn and collided with Aston Shelly and American Star, checking American Star and severely checking Aston Shelly; Joffa's Princess fell as a result. Groundbreaking checked off Kid James entering the home straight. Nevada Phil shifted in and marred Kid James in the home straight.

Joffa's Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Nevada Phil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thight injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Garland, the trainer of Nevada Phil regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Nevada Phil was charged with marring. Mr Garland pleaded guilty to the charge, Nevada Phil is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zambora Smokey was slow to begin.

Mighty Max Gone crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Manila Kampyon. Manila Kampyon galloped on Zipping Sheila on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Spring Hummer and Mod Squad collided on the first turn checking Spring Hummer. Zipping Sheila raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Zipping Shelia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Thriving, Nordegren and Alita were slow to begin. Cosmic Katie crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Eddie and Snake Pit Lass. Entwined and Nordegren collided on the first turn. Eddie and Nordegren collided approaching the second turn. Serengeti Icon checked off Nordegren entering the back straight. Eddie and Nordegren collided on the third turn checking Eddie. Eddie and Alita collided approaching the home turn checking Alita.

Pyrenees Steel and Go Bezza were slow to begin.

Smokey Renn and Yano Bale collided soon after the start. Aston Pirate crossed in on the first turn checking Kraken Champ and Flojo Mikado. Smokey Renn, Lektra Rainbow and Kraken Champ collided in the back straight checking Lektra Rainbow. Smokey Renn checked off Pyrenees Steele on the second turn checking Flojo Mikado. Smokey Renn raced wide on the home turn.

Kraken Champ underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Who Cry Now and Zambora Lion collided on the first turn. Southwood Ace and Trinidad Scorpion collided on the second turn checking Trinidad Scorpion. Southwood Ace checked off Nella Bale approaching the home turn and collided with Zambora Lion. Nella Bale and Zambora Lion collided on the home turn. Southwood Ace checked off Nella Bale entering the home straight.

Lightning Artist checked off Kraken Tex approaching the first turn. Akoya crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Natsu Bale, East Street, Lightning Artist and Smokin' Cindy and severely checking Kraken Tex. Smokin' Cindy checked off East Street on the second turn.

Joking Bear - Late scratching at 2:09pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Galena Bale - Late scratching at 2:18pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Charlie Cockatoo and Chun Li were quick to begin. Aston Silk and Dyna Garner collided on the first turn.

Take The Lead underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have an abraded left fore paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
