Mt. View Wrap was slow to begin.
Your Queen and Jonah Alcatraz collided soon after the start. Widdershins crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Patchie Two Dots. Jonah Alcatraz crossed to the rail at the 250m mark checking Patchie Two Dots and Widdershins. Gypsy Warrior checked off Jonah Alcatraz approaching the 150m mark. Widdershins and Patchie Two Dots collided at the 150m mark and again approaching the 100m mark. Gypsy Warrior visibly eased approaching the 50m mark and lost ground.
Gypsy Warrior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 5, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Kevin Ward, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1), Gypsy Warrior was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Gypsy Warrior is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
