Fernando Toy - Late scratching at 6.35pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a spike wound. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Crown Knox stumbled soon after the start. Cracked Soda, Our Flying Bolt, Barunga Bullet, Run Shifty Run and Oriental Sugar collided approaching the first turn. Barunga Bullet and Our Flying Bolt collided approaching the first turn. Scott Worth It and Barunga Bullet collided approaching the home turn. Crown Knox and Our Flying Bolt collided on the home turn checking Our Flying Bolt. Cracked Soda and Barunga Bullet collided in the home straight. Scott Worth It eased approaching the winning post.
Scott Worth It underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a Sacro-Iliac injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms E. Bowles, the trainer of Scott Worth It regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Scott Worth It was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Bowles pleaded not guilty to the charge, Scott Worth It was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
