Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kelli Pochette.
Blackpool Amour, Lektra Loopy and Kelli Pochette were slow to begin. Betty Bowl and Cornhill Rebel collided approaching the first turn, checking Cornhill Rebel. Rodrigo Bale checked off Cornhill Rebel on the first turn. Blackpool Amour galloped on Rodrigo Bale on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lektra Loopy and Kelli Pochette collided on the first turn, severely checking Kelli Pochette.
Rodrigo Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury and a spike wound to the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr H. Goss regarding the greyhounds performance on the first turn. After considering the evidence tendered, the offical replays and acting on their own observations Stewards issued a warning against the greyhound.
Kelli Pochette underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Kelli Pochette was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
