Push Start was quick to begin.
Why Not Gazza, Run Fast Bonnie and Ragnar Bale collided soon after the start checking Run Fast Bonnie and Ragnar Bale. Why Not Gazza galloped on Why Not Pockets on the first turn causing Why Not Gazza to fall and also checking Ragnar Bale and New Cross Gate. Don's Scolari, Great Success and Push Start collided approaching the winning post.
Why Not Gazza underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury and a left foreleg abraded webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
