Push Start was quick to begin.

Why Not Gazza, Run Fast Bonnie and Ragnar Bale collided soon after the start checking Run Fast Bonnie and Ragnar Bale. Why Not Gazza galloped on Why Not Pockets on the first turn causing Why Not Gazza to fall and also checking Ragnar Bale and New Cross Gate. Why Not Gazza underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury and a left foreleg abraded webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Resounding checked off Galena Bale soon after the start. Spyglass checked off Manny Allen on the first turn. Yeller Bale faltered and lost ground approaching the second turn. Spyglass and Lena Lake collided approaching the winning post.

Yeller Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Merriview Jolt checked off Jack's Gone Wild approaching the first turn. Pandora's Hope and Zellweger collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Cudgee's Jayne galloped on Darley Park entering the home straight. Pandora's Hope checked off Equals Two in the home straight.

Chachi Arcola, Hurricane Rose and Kiwi Swagger collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Rose and Oops A Daisy. Chachi Arcola, Kiwi Swagger, Black Katniss and Polly's Varcoe collided on the first turn checking Kiwi Swagger, Black Katniss, Polly's Varcoe and Murrabit Benny. Hurricane Rose galloped on Kiwi Swagger on the first turn checking Hurricane Rose. Black Katniss and Polly's Varcoe collided approaching the home turn. Hurricane Rose raced wide on the home turn.

Umar Allen was quick to begin. Go Nikki and Crazy Summer were slow to begin.

Nuclear Fusion turned its head outwards on the first turn severely checking Pyrenees Inferno.

Nuclear Fusion underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Wade Green, the trainer of Nuclear Fusion regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Nuclear Fusion was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Nuclear Fusion is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
