Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hook Along Patch crossed in soon after the start checking Aeroplane Greg, Lucero, Spyro The Dragon and Madalia Pixie.  Spyro The Dragon checked off Hook Along Patch approaching the first turn.  Madalia Pixie and Hook Along Patch collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Agent Ivy and Wild Poppy were slow to begin.

Always There and No Intro collided soon after the start checking No Intro.  Retro Reece, Agent Ivy and Wild Poppy collided on the first turn.  Agent Ivy and Wild Poppy collided on the first turn checking Wild Poppy.  Fab Potion checked off Wild Poppy on the home turn checking Agent Ivy.  No Intro and Retro Reece collided in the home straight.

Agent Ivy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5 and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J. Bosnich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1),  Agent Ivy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Bosnich pleaded guilty to the charge, Agent Ivy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Flossy Jo and American Spy collided approaching the first turn.  American Spy checked off Tiffy's Express approaching the home turn.  Woorarra Warrior and Rebecca Gay collided in the home straight.  Woorarra Warrior and Shrek's Rose collided in the home straight.

Run To You – Late scratching at 4.14pm 13th May 2020 when trainer Mr T. Currie reported the greyhound to have a leg injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Stewards interviewed Trainer Mr T. Currie in relation to the late withdrawal of Run To You from this race. The Stewards have requested the Veterinary Records for Run To You for the preceding week be produced for review and further, acting in accordance with GAR 20 (3)(v), that a veterinary certificate be produced to Stewards, before any further nominations will be  accepted.

Peace Of Hope and Dundee Prince were quick to begin.

Catch Me Spolly and Poppo's Legacy collided approaching the first turn checking Poppo's Legacy.  Montanaro and Montaro collided approaching the first turn checking Montaro and Peace Of Hope.  Montanaro crossed out and eased on the first turn checking Catch Me Spolly.  Montaro galloped on Dundee Prince on the first turn checking Dundee Prince and severely checking Montaro.  Montanaro eased approaching the winning post.

Montanaro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right wrist sprains and a spike wound to the right hind foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr D. Jensen, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn and approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Montanaro was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Jensen pleaded guilty to the charge, Montanaro must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brayden Lennox, Speed Force and Aston Cabernet were slow to begin.

Soda Maxi crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Coco Marlow, Brayden Lennox and Soda Maxi.

Run Like Rhys was slow to begin.

Fun Time Mikado, Airly Spence and Poison Gas collided soon after the start checking Airly Spence and Poison Gas.  Airly Spence and Renita Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Renita Bale.

Bomber's Queen was quick to begin.  Artemisia was slow to begin.  Xericom Bale, Black Que and Artemisia collided soon after the start checking Black Que and Artemisia.  Xericom Bale clipped the heels of Louranda approaching the home turn checking Xericom Bale.  Artemisia and Louranda collided approaching the home turn checking Xericom Bale.  Bomber's Queen and Black Que collided approaching the home turn.

Lloyd Bale and Duke Of Airly were quick to begin. 

What's Up Skip and Wyoming Express collided approaching the first turn.  Big Fish Marjen, Hurricane Red and Lloyd Bale collided approaching the first turn.  What's Up Skip and Wyoming Express collided on the first turn.  Big Fish Marjen checked off Hird From Bucks on the first turn checking Hurricane Red.  Hurricane Red checked off Wyoming Express on the first turn.  

Hurricane Red underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10. No apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Sultana, the representative of Hurricane Red regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Hurricane Red must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Spiced Up was quick to begin.  

Wild Slammer and Italia Bella collided soon after the start.  Wow Anna and Chiocci collided approaching the first turn.  All Spiced Up faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Wow Anna and Chiocci collided on the first turn severely checking Chiocci.  All Spiced Up and Italia Bella collided approaching the home turn severely checking Italia Bella which fell as a result checking Until Late.  

All Spiced Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Italia Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Feel The Thunder and Madalia Brodie were slow to begin.

King Brown Trav and Chill Out Dusty collided on the first turn.

Liam Roxon and Tinker Bess were slow to begin.
