Steward's Report
Buzz Out was slow to begin.
Simmons and Dusty Rebel collided approaching the first turn. Amuri Gold checked off Running For Juddy on the first turn. Simmons checked off Aston Mekong on the first turn checking Dusty Rebel. Kobi Star visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Kobi Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
A post-race sample was taken from Running For Juddy, winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of Kobi Star regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kobi Star was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Russell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kobi Star was found guilty and is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
