Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Barellen Rae and Spins On Spins collided on the first turn checking Spins On Spins and Silver Arapaho. Spins On Spins, Aston Anita and Bailey's And Milk collided on the home turn checking Spins On Spins and Aston Anita. Barellen Rae and Bailey's And Milk collided in the home straight.

Gemma Rapid and Especial Envy collided soon after the start. Gemma Rapid checked off Deadly Walk on the first turn. Chill Out Diesel turned it's head to the inside and visibly eased entering the home straight. Chill Out Diesel marred Especial Envy in the home straight. Gemma Rapid raced wide in the home straight.

Chill Out Diesel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted follwing race 8. Chill Out Diesel was found to have injuries to the right chest and right thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. M. Johnson, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Chill Out Diesel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Chill Out Diesel must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crackerjack Jaws – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Buzz Out was slow to begin.

Simmons and Dusty Rebel collided approaching the first turn. Amuri Gold checked off Running For Juddy on the first turn. Simmons checked off Aston Mekong on the first turn checking Dusty Rebel. Kobi Star visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Kobi Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of Kobi Star regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kobi Star was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Russell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kobi Star  was found guilty and is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Barellen Chubby and Lirarian collided on the first turn checking Librarian. Lexie Lee checked off Aston Leah on the first turn checking Jimmy Cheesecake and Don's Boy. Librarian checked off Don's Boy entering the home straight. Librarian raced wide in the home straight.

Fifteen Love was slow to begin.

McIvor Ernie and Lancashire collided on the first turn checking McIvor Ernie. McIvor Ernie and Silky Rose raced wide in the home straight. Ben Doon checked off Windburn in the home straight.

Kraken Ruben, Awesome Asset, Posterior Chain and Chasin' Bobbi collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Awesome Asset and Chasin' Bobbi collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Hagrid Grange and Mum's The Word collided soon after the start. Hagrid Grange checked off Carson County on the first turn. Ko Rapid Jack raced wide approaching the home turn. Knocka Bott checked off Ko Rapid Jack on the home turn. Rotarua, Knocka Bott and Ko Rapid Jack collided in the home straight checking all three greyhounds.

Carson County underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right dew claw injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

My Mascara was slow to begin.

My Mascara and Magic Lantern collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Shima Deal and Table Top collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
