Mr. S Stefanos was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Winlock Homes pursuant to GAR 33.
Bees On Fire and Winlock homes were quick to begin. Haimandy Carl was slow to begin. Jaimandy Jester and White Grit collided approaching the first turn checking White Grit. Bees On Fire, Winlock Homes, Jackie Jai and Jaimandy Carl collided entering the home straight checking all four greyhounds. Chill Out Isa turned it's head outward entering the home straight,
Bees On Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius/ulna fracture. Bees On Fire was humanely euthanased.
Winlock Homes underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Chilcott the handler of Chill Out Isa regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting on Steward's own observations and taking into consideration the incident that occurred around the greyhound at the time, Stewards gave Chill Out Isa the benefit of the doubt and took no further action on this occassion.
