Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

On Patrol – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound tonight and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Windburn was quick to begin. Aston Barney was slow to begin. Gemma Rapid, Quid Pro Quo, Apple Valley and Ruby Arizona collided approaching the first turn checking Quid Pro Quo and Apple Valley. Pyrenees Pegasus, Emma Rapid and Ruby Arizona collided on the first turn checking Gemma Rapid. Gemma Rapid and Sense Of Wonder collided approaching the second turn. Aston Barney and Ruby Arizona collided on the second turn checking Aston Barney which contacted the running rail and lost ground. Quid Pro Quo raced wide in the home straight.

Aston Barney underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid and right triangle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Town Tamer and Swift Binga were slow to begin. Ginger Bar was very slow to begin (3L). Indominus, Swift Binga and Aerolithology collided approaching the first turn checking Aerolithology. Indominus, Aerolithology and Ginger Bar collided on the first turn checking Aerolithology. Swift Binga and Maddox Bale collided approaching the home turn. Indominus galloped on the heels of Sydney Cove approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Swift Binga crossed to the outside entering the home straight and collided with Cyberpunk Tokyo. Indominus raced wide in the home straight. Ginger Bar marred Swift Binga in the home straight. Cyberpunk Tokyo, Swift Binga and Ginger Bar collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. P. Frost regarding the racing manners of greyhound, Swift Binga in the home straight. After viewing all available video footage, Stewards own observations and Mr Frosts submissions, no further action was taken.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Morshead, the trainer of Ginger Bar regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Ginger Bar was charged with marring. Mr. Morshead pleaded guilty to the charge, Ginger Bar is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crystal Bling and Flash Angel collided soon after the start. Crystal Bling and Bush Bro collided soon after the start checking Crystal Bling. Flash Angel and Bush Bro collided approaching the first turn checking Bush Bro. Kareda Gold and Flash Angel collided on the first turn. Kareda Gold galloped on the heels of Bush Bro in the home straight.

Bush Bro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the testes. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pyrenees Spirit was quick to begin. Dewana Mechanic and Star Ballerina collided on the first turn checking Star Ballerina. Daisy Hill Lass and Shinjuku collided on the first turn. Gardener's Boyo was slow to begin. Saint Burner, Janray Lucky One and Another Bling collided on the first turn checking Saint Burner and Another Bling. Saint Burner galloped on the heels of Happy Tails on the second turn checking Happy Tails and Gardener's Boyo. Happy Tails raced wide entering the home straight.

New Cross Gate and Boston Quay collided approaching the second turn. Smash Flash and Ice Skates collided on the second turn checking Smash Flash.

Light The Track underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left front paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Cam and Crymelon Tess collided soon after the start. Refueled and Chasin' Donuts collided approaching the first turn. Big Cam and Crymelon Tess collided on the first turn checking Big Cam.
