Steward's Report
Zelma Bale, Atarah and Aurora Miss were slow to begin.
Zelma Bale and Atarah collided soon after the start. Run Like Rhys and As Only Is collided on the first turn checking Run Like Rhys. Atarah crossed in on the first turn checking As Only Is and Miss Zok Dee. Run Like Rhys and Zelma Bale collided approaching the home turn. Zelma Bale checked off Run Like Rhys approaching the home turn. Midnight Storm eased approaching the winning post.
Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Ferris, the trainer of Midnight Strom regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Midnight Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ferris pleaded guilty to the charge, Midnight Storm is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
