Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.

Cullquin Finn – Late scratching at 11.33am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Ms Shara Quinlan informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Stewards have advised Ms Quinlan that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Super Athletic – Late scratching at 8.43am when trainer Mr John Boreland reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Xericom Bale was quick to begin.  Gunner's Hawk and Flossy Jo were slow to begin.

Xericom Bale and Galway Lights collided on the first turn. 

Angel's Prophet and Casanova Man were quick to begin.  Swamp Donkey was slow to begin.

Xenia Bale and Wild Poppy collided soon after the start.  Casanova Man and Wild Poppy collided approaching the first turn checking Casanova Man.  September Dream checked off Light Show on the first turn and collided with Xenia Bale.  Angel's Prophet and Swamp Donkey collided approaching the home turn checking Xenia Bale.

A pre-race sample was taken from Declassified.

Devon Shadow and Declassified collided soon after the start checking Devon Shadow.  Verne Bale and Dewana Chic collided approaching the first turn causing Take A Lily to gallop on Dewana Chic; Dewana Chic was severely checked as a result.  Jackson's Creek checked off Chart Topper on the first turn.  Jackson's Creek and Declassified collided entering the home straight.

Rosie Reigns – Late scratching at 8.17am when trainer Mr Lindsay Fulford reported the greyhound to have a shoulder injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Bomber's Queen was quick to begin.  Whistlin Missile was slow to begin.  Gunmandu was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Bomber's Queen and Mac's Secret collided approaching the first turn.  Mac's Secret galloped on Awesome Shae on the first turn checking Awesome Shae.  Rock Me Lloyd crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Awesome Shae, Rock Me Lloyd and severely checking Mac's Secret.  Olive's Branch and Rock Me Lloyd collided on the first turn checking Rock Me Lloyd.  Bomber's Queen and Olive's Branch collided approaching the winning post. 

Zelma Bale, Atarah and Aurora Miss were slow to begin.

Zelma Bale and Atarah collided soon after the start. Run Like Rhys and As Only Is collided on the first turn checking Run Like Rhys. Atarah crossed in on the first turn checking As Only Is and Miss Zok Dee. Run Like Rhys and Zelma Bale collided approaching the home turn. Zelma Bale checked off Run Like Rhys approaching the home turn. Midnight Storm eased approaching the winning post. 

Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Ferris, the trainer of Midnight Strom regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Midnight Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ferris pleaded guilty to the charge, Midnight Storm is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tigga Toy was quick to begin.  Sultan Bale was slow to begin.

Tigga Toy crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Elite Paws, Justin Rose and severely checking Monaco Lights.  Elite Paws faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off checking Monaco Lights.

Elite Paws underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury and right hind shin soreness. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Blockette – Late scratching at 8.09am due to illness. 

Aston Truffle was quick to begin.

Mahi Indian and Romany Girl collided on the first turn.  Roger That clipped the heels Romany Girl approaching the home turn.  Romany Girl raced wide on the home turn.  Ninetymile Hawk shifted in in the home straight causing Aston Truffle to check off Ninetymile Hawk.

Quick Finance - Late scratching at 11.24am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr James Theodotou was fined $100.

She Got Fire checked off Mega McKayla approaching the first turn.  She Got Fire brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Bobby Ray galloped on Mini Fernando approaching the home turn checking Mini Fernando. She Got Fire lost ground from the home turn.

She Got Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Masamune and Saipan Bale collided soon after the start.  Peace Of Hope crossed out soon after the start checking Aston Guinness and Poppo's Darling.  Blazin' Hawk and Aston Guinness collided on the first turn.  Poppo's Darling and Saipan Bale collided on the first.  Salut Bianca and Masamune collided on the home turn. 

Jayville Tuxedo, Bombardier King and Madalia Daisy were slow to begin.

Bombardier King checked off Geena Bale on the first turn.  Madalia Daisy raced wide from the home turn to the winning post.

Love A Talk and Smooth Talker were slow to begin.

Parumba Barcia and Bomber's Wonder collided approaching the first turn checking Bomber's Wonder.  Hook Along Mint galloped on Smooth Talker on the first turn checking Love A Talk and Hook Along Mint.  Love A Talk checked off Hook Along Mint approaching the home turn. Enya Bale checked off Love a talk on the home turn.
