Steward's Report
Now And Then - Late scratching at 6:10 pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Crazy Old Fool.
Mustered Courage, Saipan Bale and Crymelon Tess collided approaching the first turn. Crazy Old Fool and Dundas Houdini collided on the first turn. Dundas Houdini and All Inn Mia collided on the home turn. Dundas Houdini visibly eased entering the home straight. Dundas Houdini and All Inn Mia raced wide in the home straight.
Dundas Houdini underwent a post-race veterinary examination, no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr P.Dower, the handler of Dundas Houdini regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Dundas Houdini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr P.Dower pleaded guilty to the charge, Dundas Houdini is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
