Steel Magnolia, Tat James and Winlock Squints collided approaching the first turn. Quando Quando and Spyfection collided approaching the first turn checking Spyfection. Moyarra Fantasy lost ground approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result. Quando Quando and Red Hot Chance collided on the first turn checking Quando Quando. Steel Magnolia raced wide in the home straight.
Moyarra Fantasy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
