Officer Destini and Sheza Pain collided on the first turn checking Officer Destini. Dynamo's Girl galloped on the heels of Sheza Pain on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Miss Allira checked off Big Bad Tom approaching the home turn checking Stealthy Blonde. Officer Destini galloped on the heels of Stealthy Blonde on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Dynamo's Girl raced wide on the home turn. Sheza Pain marred Officer Destini entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Miss K. Jackson, the handler of the greyhound Sheza Pain. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Sheza Pain with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
