Phebu and Mighty Scull were slow to begin.
Lucky Kelly, Padma's, Filius Flitwick and Eumeralla Mist collided several times approaching the first turn checking Filius Flitwick. Phebu and Mighty Scull collided on the first turn checking Phebu. Filius Flitwick checked off Padma's on the first turn. Uno Blue, Lucky Kelly, Padma's and Eumeralla Mist collided on the first turn checking Padma's, Eumeralla Mist and Filius Flitwick. Mighty Scull and Padma's collided approaching the home turn checking Padma's. Phebu checked off Betcha Fletcha approaching the home turn. Phebu raced wide on the home turn. Padma's and Mighty Scull collided in the home straight. Lucky Kelly raced wide in the home straight. Uno Blue faltered in the home straight.
Phebu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tricep and left thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments -
Stewards today conducted an inquiry into the circumstances pertaining to the late scratching of Mill House at 8:32a.m. from race 8 at Ballarat on the 19th of March 2014. After taking evidence from the greyhound's trainer Mr. Andrew Mooney, who stated in his opinion the greyhound was fit to race on Tuesday evening but went amiss on Wednesday morning after a short gallop which is Mr. Mooney's normal practise for his greyhounds on race day. Mr. Mooney further stated that he notified the board as soon as he was aware the greyhound was unfit to race. Stewards accepted his explanation.
