Classic Spud and Vegas Rain collided soon after the start. Vegas Rain checked off Miss Woorndoo approaching the first turn checking Dusty Mat. Slow Rush crossed to the rails approaching the first turn checking Big Bad Rough, Miss Woorndoo, Vegas Rain and Dusty Mat. Big Bad Rough checked off Slow Rush on the first turn. Dusty Mat galloped on the heels of Big Bad Rough entering the back straight severely checking both greyhounds. Classic Spud and Barty's Friday collided on the second turn checking Barty's Friday. Don't Daire and Miss Woorndoo collided approaching the home turn checking Miss Woorndoo.
Big Bad Rough was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
