Xera Bale checked off Revved Up Dee on the first turn. Revved Up Dee and Wendy Maria collided approaching the first turn checking Wendy Maria. Revved Up Dee and Xera Bale collided entering the home straight. Revved Up Dee and Xera Bale collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Xrea Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury and a right sesamoid injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Ms B.Kinder of Xera Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. After hearing Ms Kinders submissions, the greyhounds injury and all available footage stewards took no further action.
A post-race sample was taken from Happy Tails - the winner of the event.
