Global Gem and Four Keeps were slow to begin.
Ragged Warrior checked off Galloping Nikki soon after the start. Galloping Nikki checked off Elegant Malt on the first turn. Global Gem and Ragged Warrior collided on the first turn checking Ragged Warrior. Pranjip Comet checked off Elegant Malt approaching the home turn checking Sheza Code Blue. Global Gem and Galloping Nikki collided approaching the home turn checking Global Gem which stumbled as a result. Pranjip Comet checked off Sheza Code Blue approaching the winning post checking Blue Marie.
Ragged Warrior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hind shin soreness and left triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
