Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Wicked Reason.
Wicked Reason crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Stylish Missile, Once A Secret, Rapid Belle Noir and Rik Lee; Once A Secret and Rapid Belle Noir raced wide as a result. Stylish Missile and Rik Lee collided on the first turn checking Once A Secret. Victor Leone turned its head and visibly eased approaching the second turn. Wicked Reason turned its head and visibly eased approaching the second turn colliding with Victor Leone checking both greyhounds. Stylish Missile checked off Victor Leone entering the back straight and collided with Once A Secret which raced wide and lost ground as a result.
Once A Secret underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have toe injuries on both front paws and the right hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Victor Leone underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mrs Musselwhite declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs M. Musselwhite, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Victor Leone was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Musselwhite pleaded guilty to the charge, Victor Leone was found guilty and was stood down for 28 days at Cranbourne and also must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ms Silva pleaded guilty to the charge, Wicked Reason was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
