A pre race sample was taken from Actually Frank.
Nev and Sisco Rage were slow to begin.
Clumsy Tank and Sea Rooster collided soon after the start. Nev, Clumsy Tank and Sea Rooster collided approaching the first turn. Rockin' Josie and Sisco Rage collided on the first turn. Clumsy Tank and Sea Rooster collided approaching the second turn. Actually Frank and Immy Rose collided approaching the third turn. Clumsy Tank and Sea Rooster collided several times approaching the home turn resulting in Clumsy Tank becoming unbalanced. Nev and Actually Frank collided entering the home straight. Sea Rooster veered out and marred the running of Clumsy Tank entering the home straight.
Clumsy Tank was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sea Rooster was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Gibson, the trainer of the greyhound Sea Rooster. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Sea Rooster with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sisco Rage - the winner of the event returned a track record time of 37.60. A sample was taken from Sisco Rage.
