During the routine track inspection prior to kennelling, Stewards noted that the lure cable had detached from the pulley. Club and GRV staff conducted remedial work during kennelling and tested the lure prior to the running of Race 1. Stewards and club staff were satisfied that the lure was in a suitable condition for racing and continued to monitor the lure throughout the meeting.

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Hunt, the Trainer of Pinnaroo, regarding the betting fluctuations ($15 into $6.50). Mr Hunt explained that he did not personally support the greyhound and his partner only had a small bet. Mr Hunt added that Pinnaroo had trialled only fairly at Geelong in the lead up to tonight’s event and that he was unable to provide an explanation for the improved performance and the betting move.

Mother Hannah – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Ballarat for fail to chase due to injury. Weighing 29.5kgs and beginning from box 1, Mother Hannah completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.29. Mother Hannah placed 1st in a field of 4 starters winning by 15.75L Mother Hannah has been cleared to race at all tracks except Ballarat.  

Chantilly Mack – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sandown for unsatisfactory performance. Weighing 32.5kgs and beginning from box 8, Chantilly Mack completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.44. Chantilly Mack placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters beaten by 17.5L Chantilly Mack has been cleared to race at all tracks except Sandown.
