Silvio Dante and Tinker Bess collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Mick and Hot Tottie collided soon after the start. Silvio Dante, Tinker Bess, Pergamon and Crackerjack Mick collided approaching the 300m mark. Pergamon and Crackerjack Mick collided at the 300m mark. Silvio Dante and Crackerjack Mick at the 150m mark. Ballistic Yaala and Tinker Bess collided at the 150m mark. Hot Tottie faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground as a result. Silvio Dante and Crackerjack Mick collided at the 100m mark.
Hot Tottie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
