Steward's Report
Sarcasmic was slow to begin. Little Samara and Reichman collided soon after the start. Reichman, It's A Tiger and Mahjong Nickel collided approaching the first turn checking It's A Tiger and Mahjong Nickel. Mahjong Nickel crossed out on the first turn, lost ground and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Little Samara was checked off Sarcasmic in the home straight. Reichman raced wide in the home straight.
Mahjong Nickel underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on the right tibia. No stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. N. Wakefield declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wakefield, the trainer of Mahjong Nickel regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mahjong Nickel must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
