Steward's Report
Chasing Rex - Late scratching at 5:57 under GAR 37 (4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to have fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Charango went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Show Of Force was slow to begin.
Why Not Paps crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Fish and Lightning Beach. Chop Suey checked off Why Not Paps on the first turn. Crackerjack Fish checked off Show Of Force on the first turn causing Lightning Beach and Charango to race wide. Chop Suey checked off Why Not Paps on the second turn. Crackerjack Fish, Why Not Paps and Matilda Hook collided on the third turn checking Matilda Hook, Why Not Paps, Show Of Force and Chop Suey. Charango checked off Why Not Paps approaching the home turn checking Lightning Beach, Show Of Force and Chop Suey.

Tough Tears - Trainer Mr R. Britton reported that the greyhound pulled up well subsequent to the race. Mr Britton added that Tough Tears performs better when leading and at this stage of its career the 715m distance may be too far. Mr Britton stated that he’ll look to mix the greyhound’s distances before attempting the 715m distance again.
