Golden Scar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3 and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Diamond Cartel and Bernmar World were slow to begin.  Diamond Cartel checked off Speed Demon approaching the first turn.  Speed Demon crossed in approaching the first turn checking Unleash Betty.  Flywheel Frankey checked off Shantelle Rose approaching the first turn.  Mombasa and Speed Demon collided on the home turn.  Diamond Cartel marred Bag Of Lollies from the first turn to the home straight causing both greyhounds to leave the track and subsequently pulled up.

Stewards spoke to Ms. O. Alcock, the handler of Diamond Cartel regarding the greyhound's racing manners from the first turn to the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Diamond Cartel was charged with marring.  Ms. Alcock pleaded guilty to the charge, Diamond Cartel  is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(A) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Here Runs Emilia was quick to begin.  Here Runs Emilia and Darnum Dasher collided approaching the first turn.  Here Runs Emilia checked off Darnum Dasher on the first turn severely checking Here Runs Emilia, Spolly's Jessie and Rioli causing Rioli to race wide.  Mrs. Flinstone checked off Darnum Dasher entring the back straight.  Here Runs Emilia galloped on She's Bees Knees entering the back straight.  She's Bees Knees checked off She Wiggles entering the back straight.  Mrs. Flinstone and She Wiggles collided on the second turn.  Mrs. Flinstone and Darnum Dasher collided approaching the winning post.

Here Runs Emilia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 6.  Here Runs Emilia was found to have a left triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

She's Bees Knees underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a papilloma on the left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Spolly's Jessie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Trainer Mr. S. Spoljaric declined the option of having the greyhound re-vetted.

Spoljaric, the trainer of Spolly's Jessie regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Spolly's Jessie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Russell, the representative of Duke Of Airly, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Duke Of Airly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Duke Of Airly must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
