Ingenuity underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Blazing Hype and Brocky collided soon after the start.  Rixy Ya Pest, Zelzer Allen, Tough Tears and Sisco Ride collided soon after the start.  Lot Coin Babe and Undisputed collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Rixy Ya Pest, Zelzer Allen, Tough Tears and Sisco Ride collided on the first turn.  Zelzer Allen faltered approaching the second turn.  Zelzer Allen and Undisputed collided on the second turn.  

Zelzer Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms C. Brinsley was fined $100 under GAR 86(o) negligence, the negligence being that Ms Brinsley failed to catch the greyhound Fernando's Riot in this event. In arriving at penalty Stewards considered the frequency in which Ms Brinsley catches and also her offence record under this rule.

Ernesto Bale, Eddie and Bronski Beat collided on the first turn checking Ernesto Bale and Eddie.  Blue Striker checked off Perfect Marshall entering the back straight.  Bronski Beat, Saint Destructor, Ernesto Bale and Blue Striker collided on the fourth turn checking Ernesto Bale and Blue Striker.

A post-race sample was taken from Dyna Smokey - winner of the event. 

Handler Mr T. Cortese was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 86(q) for engaging in conduct detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing for the manner in which he spoke to Steward Mrs H. Harvey following the event. In arriving at penalty Stewards took into account Mr Cortese's remorse and offence record in relation to this rule.

Winlock Sunshine and Striking Weetbix collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Terren's Close, Fire Legend and Miss Firebird collided soon after the start.  Gloria Bale, Terren's Close, Miss Firebird and Immediate collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Firebird, Immediate, Winlock Sunshine and Striking Weetbix.  Terren's Close, Miss Firebird and Immediate collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Miss Firebird checked off Terren's Close entering the back straight.

Maximum Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mega Dossa was quick to begin.  Annie Rose was slow to begin.

Spring Hummer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr S. Coulson regarding the performance of the greyhound over the concluding stages. Mr Coulson explained that the greyhound has not had a run over the distance recently and would derive benefit from the run.
