Rock Me David was slow to begin.
Aston Nino, Hadeel Bale and Sky Wesley collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Aston Nino and Busy Bella collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Hadeel Bale and Dyna Aakil collided on the first turn. Aston Nino and Busy Bella collided on the first turn. Dyna Aakil galloped on Busy Bella on the first turn severely checking Busy Bella which fell. Hadeel Bale and Sky Wesley collided approaching the second turn checking Sky Wesley. Hadeel Bale and Rock Me David collided on the third turn checking Hadeel Bale. Hadeel Bale and Sky Wesley collided approaching the home turn checking Sky Wesley.
Busy Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Dyna Smokey - winner of the event.
Handler Mr T. Cortese was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 86(q) for engaging in conduct detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing for the manner in which he spoke to Steward Mrs H. Harvey following the event. In arriving at penalty Stewards took into account Mr Cortese's remorse and offence record in relation to this rule.
