Steward's Report

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling the outside temperature was 37.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.5 degrees.

Triscay was quick to begin.  No Intro, Frosty Paradise and Follow The Que collided soon after the start checking Follow The Que.  No Intro and Army Bale collided soon after the start.  Frosty Paradise galloped on Quick To Anger on the first turn checking Quick To Anger.  Quick to Anger visibly eased on the first turn.  No Intro and Follow The Que collided approaching the home turn.  No Intro was checked off Follow The Que on the home turn.  Quick To Anger visibly eased in the home straight.  No Intro raced wide in the home straight.

No Intro underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Quick To Anger underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.  Trainer Mr. T. Churchill declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T.  Churchill the trainer of Quick To Anger regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Quick To Anger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Churchill pleaded guilty to the charge, Quick To Anger is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
