Steward's Report
Prince Cody and Dreamy Eyes were slow to begin.
Prince Cody checked off Dreamy Eyes on the first turn checking Bandwagon. Dreamy Eyes and Hurricane Tears collided entering the front straight and again on the second turn. Bandwagon veered out and marred Prince Cody from the back straight to fourth turn, severely hampering Prince Cody and causing both greyhounds to tail off.
Prince Cody underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind metatarsal. No stand down period was imposed.
Bandwagon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Presutto, the trainer of Bandwagon regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the back straight to fourth turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Bandwagon was charged with marring. Mr Presutto pleaded guilty to the charge, Bandwagon is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
