Measured – Late scratching at 7:13am when Mr. Philip Smith reported the greyhound to have a metacarpal injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Go Quantum - Late scratching at 3:03pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness - diarrhoea and an elevated temperature. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Immersion and Cyberpunk Tokyo were quick to begin. 

Zipping Ryder and William Rose collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Jamo, Zipping Ryder, William Rose, Immersion and Cyberpunk Tokyo collided approaching the first turn checking William Rose and Jamo.  William Rose veered out and marred Cyberpunk Tokyo on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  William Rose and Cyberpunk Tokyo collided entering the home straight.

William Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Sharon-lee Chignell, the representative of William Rose regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) William Rose was charged with marring. Mrs Chignell pleaded guilty to the charge, William Rose is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Macs Road, Zipping Hazel and Red Queen were quick to begin.  Rock Me Xanthe was slow to begin.

Solar Charge and Fourth Dimention collided soon after the start.  Zipping Hazel and Poison Gas collided soon after the start.  Pippa Squeak and Macs Road collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Fourth Dimention, Zipping Hazel, Poison Gas and Rock Me Xanthe collided approaching the first turn checking Poison Gas.  Pippa Squeak and Rock Me Xanthe collided on the first turn checking Rock Me Xanthe.  Zipping Hazel and Poison Gas collided on the first turn.  Zipping Hazel and Rock Me Xanthe collided in the back straight.  Solar Charge and Macs Road collided in the back straight.  Solar Charge, Macs Road and Red Queen collided on the third turn checking Fourth Dimention and Macs Road.  Pippa Squeak and Zipping Hazel collided approaching the winning post.   

Pippa Squeak underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left and right armpits and a left foreleg toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Optimus Steel, Strada and Fran Bale were slow to begin.

Valletta Sky and Why Not Paps collided soon after the start.  Strada and Fran Bale collided soon after the start checking Fran Bale.  Renita Bale and Little Tubbsy collided soon after the start.  Why Not Paps, Renita Bale and Tezzalenko collided soon after the start checking Renita Bale.  Optimus Steel checked off Valletta Sky on the first turn.  Why Not Paps and Strada collided on the first turn causing Why Not Paps, Renita Bale and Little Tubbsy to collided.  Renita Bale checked off Little Tubbsy approaching the second turn.  Tezzalenko crossed to the inside approaching the third turn.  Optimus Steel and Fran Bale collided approaching the home turn.  

Optimus Steel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Optimus Steel was found to have a right hock injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Riley the representative of Optimus Steel regarding the greyhound's poor performance.  Mr. Riley stated that he thought the greyhound sustained an injury during the event and he also advised that the greyhound was coming back from a stopper bone injury.  Stewards noted Mr. Riley's explanation and directed that a sample be taken.

Jugungal Black was quick to begin.  Valletta Mist and Romany Girl were slow to begin.

Valletta Mist, Romany Girl and Quick Finance collided soon after the start checking Romany Girl.  Imminent Reality and Everything I Do collided soon after the start. Balance and Jugungal Black collided approaching the first turn.  Jugungal Black and Quick Finance collided on the first turn.  Kissable, Imminent Reality, Everything I Do and Valletta Mist collided on the first turn.  Valletta Mist and Romany Girl collided approaching the second turn checking Valletta Mist.  Everything I Do checked off Kissable on the third turn.  Jugungal Black checked off Quick Finance approaching the home turn.  Imminent Reality clipped the heels of Jugungal Black entering the home straight.  

Stewards reminded Mr Geoffrey Howell, trainer of Jugungal Black of his responsibilities to listen/obey starters orders when boxing his greyhound after he prematurely boxed his greyhound GAR 51 (9).

Security Code was slow to begin.

Mahjong World and Molly coaster collided soon after the start.  Security Code crossed to the inside soon after the start.  Ichiban Fairy and Sunny's Kayo collided approaching the first turn.  Mahjong World and Molly coaster collided approaching the first turn.  Molly Coaster, Vens Revenge and Security Code collided on the first turn.  Sunny's Kayo checked off Ichiban Fairy approaching the second turn.  Vens Revenge and Go Seek Heidi collided on the second turn checking Go Seek Heidi.  Mahjong World checked off Security Code entering the back straight.  

Mandalorian and Ultra Lightbeam were quick begin.  

Better Watch Out and Delancy Bale collided soon after the start.  Delancy Bale and Natsu Bale collided soon after the start.  Better Watch Out and Ultra Lightbeam collided approaching the first turn.  Delancy Bale checked off Ultra Lightbeam approaching the first turn.  Ultra Lightbeam and Bowled Underarm collided approaching the first turn.  Natsu Bale checked off Bowled Underarm collided approaching first turn.  Delancy Bale and Ultra Lightbeam collided on the first turn causing Ultra Lightbeam and Bowled Underarm to collide.

Cyclone Arrow and Why Not Lilah collided soon after the start checking Why Not Lilah, causing Why Not Lilah to collide with Our Manny; Why Not Lilah stumbled as a result.  Our Manny checked off According approaching the second turn.  Our Manny and Waldorf raced wide entering the back straight.  Our Manny clipped the heels of Teardrop on the third turn.  Cyclone Arrow and Stretch Butler collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.  Cyclone Arrow and According collided entering the home straight.  Why Not Lilah raced wide in the home straight.  

Striking Tiger and Rodrigo Bale were quick to begin.  Cullquin Daario was slow to begin. 

Cullquin Daario crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Striking Tiger and Invictus Roy collided soon after the start.  Rodrigo Bale raced wide on the third turn.

Prince Cody and Dreamy Eyes were slow to begin.

Prince Cody checked off Dreamy Eyes on the first turn checking Bandwagon.  Dreamy Eyes and Hurricane Tears collided entering the front straight and again on the second turn.  Bandwagon veered out and marred Prince Cody from the back straight to fourth turn, severely hampering Prince Cody and causing both greyhounds to tail off.

Prince Cody underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind metatarsal. No stand down period was imposed.

Bandwagon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Presutto, the trainer of Bandwagon regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the back straight to fourth turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Bandwagon was charged with marring. Mr Presutto pleaded guilty to the charge, Bandwagon is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
