In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees. 

Upon arrival, Stewards conducted checks on all trainers' vehicles used to transport greyhounds to today's meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all (bar one) transportation used today complied with GRV Hot Weather and GRV Transport of Greyhounds Policy.

The Stewards have opened and adjourned an inquiry into the transport used by trainers Mr. M. Hendy and Ms. J. Wilson to today's race meeting. (GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy). The inquiry has been adjourned to a date and time to be fixed.

As a result of the inquiry, the following greyhounds were withdrawn by order of the Stewards:

Race 1 - Hillbilly Storm

Race 1 - Hillbilly Jay

Rcae 6- Scissor King

Race 8 - Hillbilly Boy

Ava's Choice and High Volume collided approaching the first turn checking Ava's Choice. Born A Guru and You See Smoke collided approaching the first turn. Born A Guru raced wide in the home straight.

Numero Uno and Winlock Kin collided soon after the start checking Winlock Kin. Reichman and Numero Uno collided approaching the first turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Double Glaze winner of the event.

Smokey Renn went up with the lids at box rise. Taltarni Black and Tan Black Tan collided soon after the start. Empowered, Taltarni Black and Tan Black Tan collided on the first turn. Empowered lost ground in the back straight. Taltarni Black and Red Taltarni collided approaching the home turn. Smokey Renn raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Empowered underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zoe's Intention went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L). Kid Callum was slow to begin. Work Zone and Dirty Boston collided approaching the home turn. Dirty Boston clipped the heels of Winlock Buggy entering the home straight and collided with Rattle Can You causing Dirty Boston to race wide. Kid Callum and Aston Valkyrie raced wide in the home straight.

Zoe's Intention underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right thigh and the back . A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. T. New pursuant to GAR 27(1) in regards to his catching technique of the greyhound Zoe's Intention.

Tiger's Crest and All Inn Turbo on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Oriental Jade and Aston Lopez collided entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Lopez.

Bear left and Smooth Onyx collided soon after the start. Zero To Hero and Bear Left collided approaching the first turn. Smooth Onyx clipped the heels of Akashi Kid on the home turn. Bear left clipped the heels of Zero To Hero in the home straight.

Mr. R. Douglas requested an early race endorsement for Make A Sound. The endorsement was approved for Make A Sound after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards directed the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Spring Hummer and Short Leash collided soon after the start checking Short Leash. Dirty Max and Winlock Squints collided soon after the start checking Winlock Squints. Dirty Max aand Short Leash collided approaching the first turn checking Short Leash. Tin Shed Fred and Dirty Max collided entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Spring Hummer, winner of the event.

Perfect Rocky and Pure Cool Titan collided on the first turn. Dusseldorp and Emerald Rainbow collided on the first turn. Georgia Kate and Quicker Than Joe collided approaching the second turn. Georgia Kate clipped the heels of Quicker Than Joe on the second turn checking Georgia Kate. Dusseldorp and Perfect Rocky collided on the home turn checking Dusseldorp. Emerald Rainbow and Bound To Succeed entering the home straight. Georgia Kate and Quicker Than Joe collided in the home straight. Dusseldorp and Pure Cool Titan collided in the home straight checking Dusseldorp.

Pure Cool Titan – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound today and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Prior to this event being run the temperature on course was 37.6 degrees.

A pre-race sample was taken from Devil's Cartel.

Close To Carnage and Kraken Ruben collided soon after the start checking Close To Carnage. Hodge's Lane and High Fusion collided approaching the first turn.
